Recovery Loan Scheme extended until 30 June 2022

The Chancellor of the Exchequer has announced a six-month extension of the Recovery Loan Scheme (RLS) which will now end on 30 June 2022. The scheme makes loan funding available to support businesses which have been affected by the pandemic. But as of 1 January 2022, the scheme will only be available to small and medium sized enterprises, with funding capped at £2m per business and the government guaranteeing 70% of the loan.

Our banking and finance team act for both lenders and borrowers across a full range of finance transactions. If your business has been adversely affected by the pandemic and you are considering your funding options, we can help you to navigate through what can often be quite distressing waters.

With an interest rate increase expected in the coming months, borrowing more debt under the Recovery Loan Scheme may not be an attractive proposition for many companies.
