Rebecca Berry

Rebecca enjoys advising businesses and senior individuals on all aspects of employment law.

Rebecca joined Stevens & Bolton in 2019, having previously worked for a number of years at a regional firm.

Rebecca’s experience ranges from advice at the outset of the employment relationship through to advising both employers and senior employees on termination. Rebecca also supports corporate and commercial colleagues on the employment aspects of transactions, including TUPE and regularly assists clients to bring and defend claims in the employment tribunal.

Rebecca has particular experience in advising the recruitment sector on issues such as the implications of the 2003 Conduct Regulations, AWR and IR35. 

Recent highlights include:

  • Advising on the TUPE aspects of a large scale outsourcing agreement
  • Advising a number of employers on the employment aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic including agreeing changes to contractual terms with employees, the furlough scheme and collective redundancy processes
  • Advising employers in relation to the conduct of complex disciplinary and grievance proceedings
  • Successfully negotiating favourable settlement agreements on behalf of both employers and senior individuals

Rebecca has written articles for a number of publications such as The HR Director, New Business and HR Review and has been quoted in national press.

Rebecca is a member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
