A year has passed since the case of Re PW (Jehovah's Witness: Validity of Advance Decision), a case which added to the (very) small body of case-law on Advance Decisions to refuse treatment, and which remains a hugely important decision.  

While Advance Decisions remain very powerful and useful documents in the right circumstances, great care must be taken following implementation of an Advance Decision to ensure that it remains valid and enforceable at the time one may need it most.
