Enforcement of family orders between the UK and UAE

The Ministry of Justice of the UAE have confirmed a significant decision to permit the enforcement of decisions made in the Courts of England and Wales. It is hoped that this will protect a spouse where their ex seeks to hide money or assets in the UAE as a way of avoiding settlements awarded by the Family Courts here.

Divorcing couples who have assets or connections with both the UK and Dubai should consider taking advice from a specialist family lawyer on how this decision may impact them.
