Plans for Friary Quarter regeneration in Guildford

Guildford Borough Council has exchanged contracts to redevelop part of Guildford town centre with a joint venture between Berkeley Group and M&G Real Estate.

The North Street redevelopment will create a newly named "Friary Quarter" with plans to pedestrianise part of North Street, create a new park, town squares and trading spaces as well as create 500 homes with retail, leisure and amenity space.

The Friary Quarter will be an exciting regeneration project for Guildford and shows the appetite for development in strong UK towns and cities.

The council has exchanged contracts with the St Edward jv to develop the North Street site as the first phase of the Friary Quarter, which will include 500 homes as well as retail, leisure and amenity space.
