Getting on the rental or housing ladder in Guildford town centre has been difficult for many years. It will be interesting to see how an application by Tiger Developments to build 301 co-living spaces offering a range of studio sizes from 18sq m to 41sq m with communal lounge and dining areas will be decided by Guildford Borough Council.

Pending consent, Tiger is targeting completion of the development in central Guildford in the second half of 2023.

Andrew Purdon, head of co-living transactions at CBRE, added: “Guildford is a top-tier South East town with a chronic lack of purpose-built rental accommodation. It has a diverse local economy with a variety of major employers, as well as being approximately 30 minutes from central London by train.”
